Rachel’s new special!
In wandering through the Food Network Ad Sales site thanks to a lil tip by my friend Google Alert who pointed me to Madeline who pointed me to the Food Network Addict, who THEN sent me to play around at the Food Network Ad Sales page (whew!), it looks as if Rachael Ray has a new special lined up for The Food Network.
Rachael’s Pet Special
A special catering to the many pet enthusiasts that exist today; covering the latest in cuisine for dogs, cats and at home pets and hosted by America’s favorite Food Network star, Rachael Ray. FN talent also has the chance to introduce their furry friends to the world.
Rachael Ray often mentions that she cooked for Boo, and now for Isaboo, and how she was disappointed to find some things her dogs loved were not good for them. I recently caught a rerun of one of her 30-minute meals that was a meal created around Boo’s favorite foods - if I remember right, it involved Yams, and they discovered Boo loved them after they accidentally dropped a tray from the oven on the floor and Boo turned vacuum cleaner!
With the recent scares with contaminated pet foods - this is a timely special indeed! Hopefully it will focus on what’s good ‘people food’ for our pets, and not just what they ‘like’ to eat!

I recently watched a Food Network Christmas special Rachael hosted. It was where she went around to different families in different cities and shared their christmas recipes/traditions. One family was Italian from Chicago. They mentioned a dish that was a pasty filled with gravy/ziti/cheese. It looked like a large stuffed calzone. Anyone have the recipe?
