Rachael Ray gets Personal with People

by

Rachael rayThose folks that hate seeing Rachael Ray’s face everywhere sure aren’t gonna like looking at the magazine rack at the store this week! Yup, Rachael Ray graces the cover, gets personal, and talks about her marriage as well as rumors and critics.

“I can’t give a man an enormous amount of attention,” Ray, 38, tells PEOPLE matter-of-factly in this week’s cover story. “And John is totally down with that. When men I have dated over the years whined about, ‘Oh, you make no time for me’ – see ya! I just dumped them. I don’t need that pressure in my life.”

She speaks of her decision not to have kids honestly, acknowledging that she just doesn’t have time to be an effective parent, and even talks briefly of the rumors of her husband, John Cusimano’s infidelity. She takes it up with her usual plain spoken humor.

How about the tabloid claim that Cusimano had cheated with two women during their marriage?

“I think they said six actually,” she says. “I’ve known where he is every night since we’ve been married.” According to Cusimano – who moonlights as lead singer in the rock band the Cringe, currently touring to support a new CD – “It’s fun to come home after a hard day’s work and just cook dinner. The place I’m happiest is curled up in bed with Rachael and the puppy.”

His wife agrees. “We’re very turtlelike,” she says. “We listen to music, pour a glass of wine and watch Law & Order.”

For more, pick up this week’s people on Friday, May 5th.

Also! Set you’re DVR/TiVo’s for E! channel on Saturday, where Rachael Ray is the subject of the E! True Hollywood Story!

  2. Lee Roberts Says:

    Dear Gawd!

How can we get rid of this termially perkie idiot that things more or herself than any so-called fan possibly could? She is picking up where the freak Katie Couric left off and that was enough to make all the sane peopel of the world wretch at one time. Many people have ceased buy any product that is associated with Madame Rae at all, such as her geeky picture on the front of Nabisco brand snack items and more. What did the world do that was so bad that we deserve to be subjected to this know-nothing so called and self proclaimed expert in the kitchen? She is like some insane little gnatt that just won’t shut up and stop annoying us all. It would be very different if she knew anything about what she tries to make us all believe that she does. Another discovery brought to us all by another media mistake Oprah. Two of a kind. Annoying and extremely self sentered and oh so patronizing and all created by the media ..Lucky us in America..NOT!

  3. Lessa Says:

Hurray! My first hater comment! I feel like I’ve arrived!

Couple of things - 1. She does not claim to be an expert in the kitchen! Every interview, every statement, every day she says “I’m not a chef. I’m a cook.”

And B - Ya don’t have to watch, or read.

    And 3 - Have a great day!

  4. R JOHNSON Says:

Mr. Roberts can not speak for all. He is one ill minded person who probably only finds intertanment in the simpsons or family guy and ueses these as education on life. He needs to step out into the real world and stop regarding succesful and talented people as jerks.

  5. D.J. Says:

Rachael has a lot going for her. People that alwys criticize are just jealous. Rachael, you rock!!!

  6. J.VanHamlin Says:

Rachael Ray is like a breath of fresh air with her lively personality. no one is required to watch her tv shows. if you cant find something else to do during those time slots then you are the loser. why complain about a lady that has it going on … hmmmn seems like i sense some jealousy coming from blogger MR ROBERTS. if MR Roberts were even a smidgeon as pretty , smart, and outgoing as Rachael he would be rolling in the dough !! Mr Roberts needs to use his energy on something else besides hater blogs.

  7. barbara Says:

“Mr Roberts needs to use his energy on something else besides hater blogs. ”

lol - perhaps he should use some of his energy on spelling (or typing) lessons.

    snort!
